-amazing sorprendente. El verbo to amaze significa sorprender, y el adjetivo amazed significa sorprendido. Por ejemplo, 'I am amazed to see you.' (Estoy sorprendido de verte).

-pain dolor. El adjetivo painful significa doloroso, y el adjetivo painless significa sin dolor, sin dificultades.
-to hit golpear. Recuerde que en el pasado este verbo permanece invariable: hit, hit, hit. Como sustantivo, hit significa golpe.
-to leave partir, irse. También significa dejar. Por ejemplo, 'Leave him alone.' significa 'Déjalo solo.' Las formas pasadas de este verbo son left, left.
-to be sick and tired of something/somebody estar harto de algo/alguien
-lie mentira. El verbo to lie significa mentir. Dado que es un verbo regular, las formas del pasado son lied, lied. No debe confundirse con el verbo to lay ni con el verbo irregular to lie.
-to wish something desear algo. El sustantivo wish es deseo. Para decir 'pedir un deseo' se debe utilizar el verbo to make: 'to make a wish'.
-to die morir. Se trata de un verbo regular: Las formas del pasado son died, died. Muerte se dice death. Muerto se dice dead.
-blink parpadeo. Como verbo, to blink significa parpadear.
-prayer oración (religiosa). Una oración (grupo de palabras con un sentido) se dice sentence.

-to crawl gatear. Para aprender distintas formas de caminar.

PRONFUNDICEMOS UN POCO:
Lay is a regular verb (lay-laid-laid)

It's transitive (takes an object)

Lie is an irregular verb (lie-lay-lain)
It's intransitive (no object)
Lie (=tell a lie, not tell the truth) is a regular verb (lie-lied-lied).

Example:
lay (laid, laid)

Hens lay eggs.
The maid was laying the table when I arrived.

lie (lay, lain)
He lay in bed for hours.
She was lying on the floor when I arrived.

lie (lied, lied)
If you lie to me, I won't believe in you anymore.
